The Support and Governance area works with effective internal support and good internal governance and control. We are developing our operations for a sustainable society. Legal issues, process support, finance, operational management, personnel issues, competence supply, IT issues, internal service, procurement, and local supply are part of the operational area.
We are now looking for an IT technician for a parental leave replacement in the IT unit. The IT unit is part of the Support and Governance area. The unit's mission includes providing service and support to users of our IT environment and being responsible for its operation and management. The mission also includes contributing to the development of various IT solutions together with the operations and the Unit for Digitalization and Innovation. A large part of the operation for our IT solutions takes place from our own data center.
Internal service is an important function for administering and documenting activities when we provide users with support and handle service cases. The unit has a pleasant and harmonious climate with competent employees. Competence development is offered in several areas, such as sign language, as many of our users have sign language as their mother tongue. We are located in several places in the country and currently have 30 employees.
We are now looking for an IT technician to be placed in Umeå.
RESPONSIBILITIES
You will, among other things, provide support to users via phone and on-site and troubleshoot issues related to the users' IT environment. The position includes scheduled time in Internal Service where we also document our efforts. The tasks are varied, and opportunities for deepening are provided within different areas of responsibility.
The work is primarily located at our school in Umeå (Hällsboskolan) and our office in central Umeå, but work at other locations, such as Luleå and Skellefteå, is also possible. Day trips to nearby locations may occur, and business trips with overnight stays may also occur.
SPSM's employees are located all over the country, and digital meeting tools are part of our everyday life.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who has:
- a completed upper secondary education with a clear IT focus
- work experience in similar tasks
- the ability to be self-sufficient and can work independently with their own planning of tasks and assignments
- very good ability to express themselves verbally in Swedish or Swedish sign language and in writing in Swedish
- a B driver's license.
To advance your application in the evaluation process, you need to clearly state in your application that all the above requirements are met.
It is meritorious if you have:
- worked in an organization with systematic handling of IT cases
- a solid interest in technology, especially IT in practical use for administrative tasks
- a documented interest in service and being service-oriented
- experience with a consultative working method and managing collaborations with many simultaneous contacts
- competence in Microsoft-based solutions and experience in an environment that includes Apple products, such as iPad and iPhone
- experience with hearing technology equipment
- experience in a sign language environment
- experience working in a school environment.

A probationary period of 6 months applies.
A criminal record extract must be presented before employment.
